House-number numerology is address reduction. You take the numerals on a door, a mailbox, or a unit, add them, reduce to 1–9 (or a master), and read the digit as a room metaphor: what this place asks you to practice while you are in it.
That is a smaller claim than the internet usually makes. A 4 house will not make you diligent. An 8 house will not mint money. A 7 house will not curse your marriage. The number is a label you can hang on a lease. The lease is still a legal document, a damp wall, a landlord, a commute.
Parent: what is numerology. The reduction style is the same digital-root habit as Life Path, applied to a different civic string. How to Reduce an Address

Letters in the unit. 214B: most readers either drop B or convert it (B=2), which makes 2+1+4+2=9. Say which. Do not convert B when you want a 7 and drop B when you want a 9.
Hyphens and fractions. 12-3 and 12⅓ are two different strings. 12-3 → 1+2+3=6. A fraction is usually ignored or treated as “plus the extra unit.” Pick a rule before you see the total.

A 5 apartment during a Personal Month 5 is a rhyme, not an eviction notice. You may already be restless. The walls are not the cause. If you need to move, move for rent, light, safety, stairs, the school, the job. Then, if you like the ritual, reduce the new door and write one line.
What a House Number Cannot Do
It cannot heal you. It cannot curse you. It cannot compensate for a Life Path you dislike. Changing flats to “upgrade your luck” is the real-estate version of the name-change scam: a new string, a new total, the same person, a bill.
It cannot decide a purchase. A 8 house with black mold is still mold. A 4 house next to your work is still a short commute. Use the number after the ordinary filters, as a metaphor for how you will use the rooms, or do not use it.
It cannot tell you who to live with. Compatibility is a different cluster. Two people in a 2 apartment are not therefore a good pair. They are two people who have a pairing-shaped room metaphor and still have to divide the sink.
