A Personal Month number is one extra addition: Personal Year + calendar month, then reduce. January is 1. October is 10 → 1, or, if you add first, year+10. Either route is fine if you stay with it. The result is a 1–9 (or a master) that some readers treat as the theme of that month.
It is a finer clock, not a better clock. The parent method is the Personal Year. If you do not have a Personal Year you trust enough to journal, you do not need a Personal Month. Subdividing a number you have not tested is how timing numerology becomes a weather app for the soul.
Parent of this page: Personal Year. Pillar: what is numerology. The coarseness problem — nine bins, many lives — is the math essay. Monthly bins make it worse: you now have twelve chances a year to be right about something.
The Formula
- Calculate Personal Year: reduced birth month + reduced birth day + reduced current calendar year.
- Add the number of the current calendar month (1–12).
- Reduce. Most houses reduce timing numbers to 1–9 even if a master appears.
Example ingredients you will need later: a 3 March birthday in 2026.
- Birth month 3, birth day 3, year 2+0+2+6 = 10 → 1
- 3+3+1 = Personal Year 7
October 2026:
- 7 + 10 = 17 → 1+7 = Personal Month 8
July 2026: 7+7 = 14 → 5.
January 2026: 7+1 = 8.
December 2026: 7+12 = 19 → 10 → 1.
Write the year climate first, then the month as a modifier. “7 year, 8 month” is a readable pair: interior audit as the year, stakes-and-result as this month’s weather. “This October will close a deal because 8” is a forecast. The method does not have that authority.
If you start Personal Year on the birthday rather than 1 January, say so, and do not mix the two when you compare Decembers. Birthday-start people are still in the previous Personal Year until 3 March in this example. Their October 2026 month sits inside whichever year they declared.
One Month Inside a Personal Year 7
Keep the 7 small, as the year page does: study, withdrawal, the interior audit; the cost is isolation sold as depth.
Now put October’s 8 against it. 8: stakes, result, the ledger; the cost is treating people as totals.
A usable assignment for October in this 7 year: bring one private audit into a form someone else can count. File the return. Send the invoice. Schedule the review. Publish the ugly draft. The year still wants the interior. The month asks that the interior produce a number or a decision.
A bad assignment: “October is for hustle; the 7 was a mistake.” You do not evict a year because a month is louder. A 5 month inside a 7 year (July, above) is a different modifier: unscripted time, a trip, a mess. The 7 is still the climate. Take the trip as research, not as a new identity.
Notice what this is not doing. It is not predicting a job offer on the 8th. It is not forbidding dates (the romantic kind) because 7 is “solitary.” It is not a medical calendar. If you need a hospital, you go in a 7 year and an 8 month and every other combination.
If you also keep pinnacles, the decade chapter is coarser still. A 4 pinnacle plus a 7 year plus an 8 month is three clocks. Pick one for the sitting. The chart-order page exists so you stop stacking.
Why This Is Easy to Overfit
There are nine month-numbers and twelve months. In a 7 year the months are:
| Month | 7 + m | Personal Month |
|---|---|---|
| Jan | 8 | 8 |
| Feb | 9 | 9 |
| Mar | 10 | 1 |
| Apr | 11 | 2 (or 11) |
| May | 12 | 3 |
| Jun | 13 | 4 |
| Jul | 14 | 5 |
| Aug | 15 | 6 |
| Sep | 16 | 7 |
| Oct | 17 | 8 |
| Nov | 18 | 9 |
| Dec | 19 | 1 |
You will get two 8s, two 9s, two 1s, and one of each remaining digit (unless you keep April as 11). That means every climate appears at least once. If you look hard enough in June you will find a 4-shaped chore. In July you will find a change. The method cannot fail if “finding an example” is the test.
So change the test. On the first of the month, write one sentence before the month happens. On the last day, grade the sentence. Hits and misses both count. Three missed months in a row: drop Personal Month for a year. Keep Personal Year if it is still earning its keep.
Personal Day (month + day of month) is the next subdivision. It is almost always too fine. A day number will match something you did, because you did many things. If you are already overfitting months, do not give yourself thirty more chances.
Attitude number is a natal constant (birth month + birth day), not a timing overlay. Do not confuse it with Personal Month because both add a month to a day-ish number. Different day. Different job.
How to Use One Month Without Turning the Calendar into Scripture
Protocol:
- Confirm Personal Year in writing.
- Add this calendar month. Reduce.
- Write: Year climate, month modifier, one verb, one thing I will not cancel because of the digit.
- Do the verb or fail in public (a note is enough).
- Do not reread daily columns to “align.”
Filled, October 2026, 3 March birth: “7 year, 8 month. Send the invoice by the 20th. I will not cancel the quiet Tuesday because 8 sounds like networking.”
A daily line in an app can remind you that the month is 8. It cannot name the invoice. If you open the app hoping it will choose the verb, you have skipped step 3.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Personal Month the same in every system? No. This is the common Pythagorean timing add-on. Indian month talk, electional astrology, and Nine Star Ki months are other clocks. Do not add them to 7+10.
Can I have a Personal Month 11? If 7+4=11 in April of a 7 year and you keep masters, yes. Many readers still reduce timing to 2. Say which.
What if my birthday falls in the month? If you use birthday-start years, the Personal Year — and therefore every subsequent month — flips on that day. January-start people ignore the birthday for this clock.
Should I plan a wedding around a Personal Month? Plan it around the people, the venue, and the law. If you want a ritual overlay, a 6 or 2 month is a pairing metaphor, not a blessing. A 5 month is not a jinx.
