Why the theft is so common
Whisper’s daily layer already speaks from Life. A morning sentence that mentions work is still a Life-colored prompt. Readers reasonably decide the self-room is the career reading. It is not.
Software also prints Ming Gong first because the tradition does. First is not “only.” The read-order guide puts Life first and the question-palace next for this reason. A work question that never leaves 命宮 is a person asking “who am I” when they needed 官禄宮.
Western habit makes it worse. A Sun sign plus a Midheaven still collapses into one vibe. Zi Wei gave you two squares on purpose.

Body Palace (身宫) can land on Career. That is a carrying-room fact, and it still does not evict 官禄宮 as the work domain. If Body-in-Career is the only Career you read, you are reading a second self-seat and calling it a job.
A fictional easy self, hot job
Anya — invented for this page — has a Life Palace that she has been told means ease, and a Career Palace that reads as a blade. She likes the first sentence. She uses it to decline projects that would be ordinary hard work. She tells friends the chart “doesn’t want” difficulty.
The plate did not issue a medical excuse. A pair sitting would keep both clauses: “I occupy a life as someone who wants the temperature low, and I work in a room that runs hot.” That can become a recovery request after a public week, or a choice to stay in a hard function as a person who needs a cooler evening. “You are peaceful, therefore skip hard jobs” is a verdict. This page refuses it.
Anya’s pay may be fine. Wealth is not invited until she asks a money question. The pair on this page is Life and Career, not a third room to hide in.
How to keep the clauses in order
Use this as a writing rule, not a ritual:
- Write the Career clause first. One sentence about the job-function as a domain. Empty of majors is allowed. “The work room is told elsewhere” is a sentence.
- Write the Life clause second, as a color. “The person walking in prefers X.” Not “therefore the job is X.”
- Name the tension if there is one. Ease-self and blade-job. Public-self and back-room job. That tension is the reading.
- Turn the tension into a step that belongs to the week. A scope conversation, a recovery block, a no that is about this posting rather than about a type.
If step two is longer than step one, Ming Gong has started stealing again. Cut it.
Spouse faces Career. If the week is “this job versus this bond,” add that facing room after the pair. Do not let Life narrate the marriage and the job in one paragraph. Do not open a relationship reading for a staffing question.

What the pair cannot settle
It cannot name the 2027 job. It cannot rank companies. It cannot tell you whether a manager will promote you. It cannot turn a layoff into a moral story about your Life star.
