The raise landed in the same month the weekends stopped restoring anything. A page called that “low fortune palace” and offered a cure. The room was describing a habit of treating rest as something Career has to approve. The next step was sleep and a medical appointment, not a remedy shop.
Wellbeing Palace (福徳宮, fúdégōng) can describe the quality of inner enough — private mind, leisure, recovery after a public week — against a work stall you already live. It cannot diagnose burnout, prescribe a resignation, or turn rest into a bonus you earn from 官禄宮 or 財帛宮. English pages also say Fortune, Spirit, or Karma palace. The job is the inner store. The label is not a prize, and it is not a clinic.
The room itself: 福徳宮. The work room it must not replace: 官禄宮. The court: the twelve palaces. What a work sitting can claim: what a career reading is.
What 福徳宮 can name around work
Stars in Wellbeing describe a quality of occupying private mind: ease-seeking, inventorying, restless, contained, or whatever the major’s court job is. After a loud work week, that quality is often the only honest subject.
A fair sentence: “Recovery is slow after public days; enough does not arrive just because the invoice did.”
That sentence can meet a stall you already half-recognize. It can keep Life Palace (命宮) from stealing the week with a personality poster. The Life Palace is who is walking in. Wellbeing is whether walking in feels like enough when no one is scoring you.
Wealth faces Wellbeing on the plate. That facing is a warning, not a formula: do not treat money as rest, and do not treat rest as a luxury you buy after a raise. Career faces Spouse (夫妻宮). That facing is a different warning. Neither facing is a diagnosis.
How to read Zi Wei for work still starts in 官禄宮. Add 福徳宮 when the question is the weekend, the sleep, or the feeling that a good number did not restore anything. Do not start in Fortune because the word sounds like a prize.
What it cannot settle
Burnout, as people use the word at work, is a body-and-org fact. It can involve hours, a manager, a health history, and a week that no longer returns to baseline. 福徳宮 does not see those facts.

If you need a clinical word, you need a clinician. If you need a PTO request, you need a calendar and a sentence you can send. The palace can help you name why the request keeps losing to Career. It cannot send the email.
A “low fortune” score is the same failure wearing a grade. Inner enough is not 34%. When not to use a career reading applies here too: if the decision is already “I need rest,” do not generate a third report the night before a sick day.
Career heat is not the inner store
官禄宮 can run hot — public, metered, administrative — while 福徳宮 describes a private mind that does not refill on the same clock. That disagreement is ordinary. It is not a hidden vote on whether you should stay.
Do not launder a Career stall through Wellbeing (“the job is fine; I am ungrateful”). Do not launder a Wellbeing stall through Career (“if I get the title, rest will start”). 財帛宮 is a third temptation: a louder number can postpone the weekend problem for a quarter. The facing already told you that money is not the inner store.
Ivo — invented here — is told his Fortune Palace is “weak.” He uses the sentence to skip a doctor’s appointment and a PTO request. The line felt like a character judgment: other people have fortune; he should work harder until he earns it. A narrower sitting would have written two sentences. Career: the function runs hot. Wellbeing: enough does not arrive when the invoice does. The next step is a medical appointment and one written PTO request, not a resignation drafted from a palace.
A next step that is not a palace
- Name which room the week is actually about — function, pay, or inner enough.
- Mark description versus instruction. “Recovery is slow” is description. “Quit on Friday” is instruction.
- If a health fact is in the week, take it to a person who treats health.
- If a rest fact is in the week, write one request that fits inside seven days: a day off, a quieter scope, a night of sleep you do not have to earn.
End without a remedy purchase. “Unlock your real fortune” is how a room becomes a shop.

Do I need a birth time? Yes, for a stable palace label. A guessed hour can slide 福徳宮 onto another square and still look tidy. Leave the room open when the hour is missing.
