Questions to ask is the prompt list. This page is what to do after a reading arrives: a paragraph, a score, a synastry grid, a Life Path pair, a BaZi day-master note. If you still need the product named: what a relationship reading is. If you need the steps before submit: how a relationship reading works.
A relationship reading is not a court. It is a structured comparison. Your job is to keep the structure visible so a red square cannot pretend to be a future.
1. Name the Engine
Write one line at the top of the note:
- Synastry (planet-to-planet): guide
- House overlay: overlays
- Composite or Davison: composite vs synastry, Davison
- Life Path pair: how it works
- Multi-system: astrology / numerology / BaZi
If the product will not name the engine, treat the copy as mood. Two engines in one paragraph without a label is how people decide the cosmos “contradicts itself.”
2. Name the Question You Actually Asked
“Are we compatible?” will get a weather report you cannot use. “How do we fight about money?” can meet a 2nd-house overlay and a Saturn–Venus line. If the reading answers a question you did not ask, put it down.
Friendship and work need their own questions: friendship, work.
3. Separate Description From Instruction
Description: “Saturn on your Moon can feel like a standard in the kitchen.”
Instruction: “You should leave.”
A decent reading stays in the first column unless you hired someone to advise, and even then the advice is theirs, not the sky’s. If the copy slides into instruction, mark it.
4. Check the Inputs
Two birth times, or not? Synastry without time. Same calendar (tropical vs sidereal)? Sidereal vs tropical. Same Life Path rule (11 kept or reduced)?
Wrong inputs make confident paragraphs. The confidence is the tell.
5. Hold a Score Lightly
Hearts, percentages, “92% match” are product UI. They collapse a grid into a number you can screenshot. Ask what was counted. If the answer is “our secret algorithm,” you have a vibe, not a method.
Free vs paid compatibility is the shopping cousin of this page.
6. End in the Life
One thing the reading named that you already knew. One thing that was new. One mundane next step (a conversation, a boundary, a week of sleep) that does not require a gem or a second paid report.
If the reading made the pair more cartoonish than they were yesterday, it failed. If it gave you a sentence you can take into a kitchen, it worked. How to use the comparison without a score: compatibility without verdicts.
The Whisper’s relationship layer is a multi-system comparison you can open after you have a question. It is still a comparison.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should we read the report together? Only if you can keep it from becoming a weapon. Some pairs do better with a mediator. The chart does not get a vote on that.
What if two systems disagree? Write both sentences. Disagreement is a feature of using two maps. See the three-system desk.
Can a reading tell me if they love me? No. It can talk about style of bond. Love is not a placement.
